It’s Climate Week in NYC. Business leaders and policy makers have come together to address the climate emergency at this increasingly important cultural moment. The event is happening adjacent to the United Nations General Assembly, where heads of state and government gather to address important international issues facing the world. |
As temperatures begin to cool here in the Northern Hemisphere, it's important to remember that the world is in the midst of a climate emergency that affects us all. Governments, brands, and individuals all play a role in addressing climate change. And increasingly, marketing and advertising agencies are being held accountable for their role in the crisis, too – evidenced by this Ad Age article. |
In this issue, we shine a light on brands that are moving the needle – those who find creative ways to address climate change, drive awareness, and inspire us all. From their campaigns and cause marketing, to the core of their businesses. While we know experiential marketing and events aren’t renowned for their sustainable activities, it can be done by making the right choices. Brands can work with their agency partners to drive meaningful change if they choose to make the investment. |
Finally, much has been said about Gen Z and their attitudes toward activism, sustainability, and climate change. Read on to hear what Gen Z BMFers think about it all. |
