From the moment he received his first copy of Billboard at 14, BMF Partner Brian Feit knew he wanted to be in the music and event business. Tenacious and determined to get his foot in the door, he wrote letters to record labels nationwide and one of these handwritten letters secured him a coveted internship with music legend Clive Davis. Brian packed his bags and headed to New York City where he got his degree at New York University while interning for Davis. Following graduation Brian spent four years at E-magine Records working on digital record releases. This invaluable experience put him literally years ahead of the curve in the industry. With Davis and E-magine under his belt, in 2003 he, along with his business partner Bruce Starr, set out to found BMF Media – a company dedicated to brands, fusion, and music.
Now 14 years later, BMF is a 50+ person business and steadily growing with headquarters in New York and offices in Los Angeles, Miami and Austin. The company boasts an event production department that’s on the forefront of the tastemaker world, along with marketing, design, DJ management, talent booking, and music publicity divisions, all of which have become go-to’s for leading consumer brands.
Market leaders, many of whom hail from the Fortune 50, seek out Brian for his keen sense of blending venues, artists and brands. His impeccable reputation for understanding business needs and translating them into events designed to tap into target audiences is frequently cited as an apex in experiential marketing.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Brian received his B.S. from New York University. He is the recipient of AdAge’s “30 Under 30” Award. He now lives in a converted temple on the Lower East Side and is an avid cycler and swimmer.
