Dear Pulse Readers,

Spring has sprung and the cultural calendar is in full bloom.

Here, in the US, attention turns from the Coachella Valley to the steps of the Met, with all eyes on the Met Gala on the first Monday in May. Vogue’s Anna Wintour – who has run the Met Gala since 1995 and has shaped it into the star-powered annual fashion event we know today – has set the official dress code as “The Garden of Time” to celebrate the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”

As we pour over our feeds – which will undoubtedly be flooded with iconic floral and botanical inspired looks for this year’s theme – we also think about flowers for Mother’s Day, which is right around the corner.

From global icons, such as Wintour, who has used her influence in the fashion world to nurture young designers, to the mothers and mother figures who have had profound impacts on all our lives, we’re dedicating this issue of the Pulse to incredible mothers everywhere.

Read on to hear from the mothers of BMF who give their POV on how brands should (and shouldn’t) market to mothers.

Stay Inspired.
